The CFA was founded at Olympia 1934 and exists in order to 'stimulate and foster enthusiasm for reputable circus as a popular entertainment and valuable partof British culture, to actively promote it and to rigorously resist prejudiceand threats to it, in conjunction with others interested in quality circus'.

The CFA publishes the circus magazine 'King Pole' up to five times per year.

Each issue is A4 in size and includes both colour and black and white photographs to accompany news and reviews from the world of circus.

Circus Line. If you want to be able to find a circus in the UK this recorded message service should help. Information is updated every Monday.

Circus programmes, books, models, posters and specially commissioned items are available through this service.

The CFA also publishes books on subjects such as circus posters and transport.
